“After his former band Verbena scored a deal with Capitol Records and put
out 2 releases with them, Scott Bondy (aka: A.A. Bondy) decided to call it
quits and pursue a solo career. American Hearts was recorded at a barn in
upstate NY but it is not hard to recognize Bondy's influence from his home
state of Alabama. The album managed to land in the hands of several
critics who welcomed it with praise garnishing him an appearance on NPR
and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Now signed with Fat Possum Records and
re-releasing this solo/debut A.A. Bondy will be touring throughout 2008
promoting American Hearts and opening it to a wider audience.”
