Dave Lory "Jeff Buckley: from Hallelujah to the Last Goodbye”

Dave Lory (Jeff Buckley's manager and author of the book) will be doing a brief Q&A as well as signing copies at Good Records Sunday August 19 at 4pm

Chris Cornell
“There is no way to predict what he would be doing today. He could do anything. He had a way of playing the most beautiful song you ever heard and singing them…and still with the way he sang, create a bit of an uncomfortable edge if he wanted to, and he did this with his voice.”

Jimmy Page
“He absolutely touched every emotion and in a total class of his own. He was iconic. Jeff Buckley was one of the greatest losses of all.”

“Jeff Buckley was a pure drop in an ocean of noise.”

Elvis Costello
“When he started singing [the classical song] Dido’s Lament at the [Meltdown Festival] rehearsal, there were all these classical musicians who could not believe it. Here’s a guy shuffling up on stage and singing a piece of music normally thought to be the property of certain types of [a] specifically developed voice, and he’s just singing, not doing it like a party piece, but doing something with it.”

Eddie Vedder
“man I tell ya…I’ll never forget the way he did it…I was just f****** speechless…one of the most memorable moments of my life…I just wish I had seen him more.”
